Web Developer / Designer
Giedrius always had a massive interest in computers, ok, usually the gaming side of things, but what boys don't? Looking for a subject that he felt was an easy option, and would give him a lot more time for games, he joined an art course at Holland Park College. How little did Giedrius know that this love of an easy life was to shape his future career!
Having had enough of education for a while, G, as we have come to call him (for obvious reasons), then took a few years out and joined Bits Studios as a Junior Artist / Office Assistant. G was in heaven as the two most loved things in his life finally came together, art and computer gaming, as he worked on the Die Hard Vandetta computer game. This time also saw his first foray into the world of web sites as he was asked to look after the company's web site.
G had been told that the streets in the South of England were paved with gold, so after a couple of years at Bits Studio, sieve in hand, he made his pilgramage south. He didn't find any gold, but did manage to find a place on a BA (Hons) in Computer and Video Games Design at Southampton Solent University.
There was something niggling at G though, as there was, if he were really honest, one more love in his life that he had not managed to weave into his working life, and this was football. So, after his BA, he travelled back up to London where through sheer determination and hard work (although we think he was blessed by God himself!), he managed to land a job with Sports Interactive (Sega) working on their game Football Manager 07. Finally, he was happy and this time, he felt it was as amazing as life can get, and he assures us that it is the best game ever...even if he does say so himself!
Since then Giedrius spent a couple of years working as a web manager / graphic designer at Artbasement. Asked to set up their online presence from scratch, and once it was self sufficient, he moved on to a fish in sea.
Giedrius loves music and if you're really lucky, if you listen really hard, he can be heard playing his guitar through the night in North London...if anyone has any spare time to give him some lessons...!
